Noorani Qaida Course

Noorani Qaida Course – Your First Step in Quran Reading

Begin with the Basics

At Journey of Quran Academy, our Noorani Qaida Course is the perfect introduction to reading the Quran. You’ll start with the Arabic alphabet – understanding each letter’s shape and sound – and learn how they connect to form words. The course is simple to follow and ensures error-free Quran reading.

Why This Course Is Important

Reading and teaching the Quran is spiritually rewarding. To truly benefit, one must understand its message:

“This Quran guides us to the best path and brings good news to those who do righteous deeds; they will receive a great reward.” (Surah Al-Isra, 17:9)

Since the Quran is in Arabic, beginners need to start with foundational learning. Our course is designed to provide that essential foundation for accurate Quranic reading.

What You Will Learn

  • Identify Arabic letters and recognize their corresponding symbols.

  • Learn letter shapes and sounds.

  • Understand and use foundational pronunciation marks (Harakat):

    • Fatha (ـَ)

    • Kasra (ـِ)

    • Damma (ـُ)

  • Learn advanced markers:

    • Shadda (ـّ) – doubles the consonant sound

    • Sukoon (ـْ) – indicates silence/no vowel sound

    • Madd (ـٓ) – elongates sound

    • Tanween (ـً، ـٍ، ـٌ) – adds “n” sound at the end

    • Hamza (ء) – a quick glottal stop

    • Leen letters – soft or elongated forms

  • Practice reading with basic Tajweed rules.

  • Learn Waqf (pause) signs—such as م، ق، ط، ج، ص، لا – to know when to pause or continue.

These skills set you up for confident, correct reading and deeper studies in the future.
